The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Showpo Product team as a Garment Technician!
Garment Techs are our technical experts in this area ensuring that our unique designs are manufactured at the highest production standards and support the team in doing so. They pride themselves on having high quality fits ensuring the best experience for our Customer.
Day to day you will..
Lead fit sessions and use critical judgement to achieve best results within critical path deadlines and margin.
Completion of fit comments & bulk specs to QC standards within set timelines
Liaising with offshore suppliers on all fitting and measurement issues
Clear and precise manner of communicating with the factories
Maintain library & developments of templates and procedures.
Communicating with the team to ensure priorities align with critical path
Ensure grading is considered and accurate for each style
Creation and management of tech packs in conjunction with Product and Production teams
Develop strong working relationships with the buying & design team demonstrating technical fit & fabric knowledge. Be a passionate driver for this collaboration.
Build and nurture strong and effective relationships with suppliers understanding relationship building seeking out solutions to problems.
Schedule fit sessions models and fit capacity
Maintain fit model specs and size guide alignment
Assist in Supplier Sourcing & onboarding
Suggest & maintain process improvements for workflows & systems
Who are we looking for
2 years of experience as a garment technician/QA/PD
Knowledge of patterns and pattern grading
Knowledge and skills of technical garment construction technical fit and garment production
Organised team player with the ability to prioritise multi-task and be flexible to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
Empathetic values driven approach able to understand issues from multiple perspectives & find an appropriate solution
