Job Summary
Job Description
- Responsible for packaging applications including: MSI/MSP/MSM/MST Creation ICE Validation Conflict Analysis and Unit testing.
- Responsible for MSIX application packaging including: MSIX/Msixbundle creation AppxManifest customization capability management Package Support Framework (PSF) configuration conversion using MSIX Packaging Tool digital signing validation and functional testing across supported Windows environments.
- Responsible for macOS application packaging including: PKG/DMG creation post-install scripts property list (plist) configuration code signing and notarization and dependency handling.
- Very experienced in creating installations from scratch not just re-packaging through the entire lifecycle from gathering requirements to delivery.
- Work with internal development teams to understand and be an SME on how best to deliver required functionality.
- Design build and maintain the standard installation management and monitoring routines scripts agents or capabilities that are bundled with the applications.
- Provide IT application operations support and troubleshooting of technology issues including desktop application components.
- Execute anintegrated approach to large applications and technology platforms design architecture and implementation
- Good knowledge of development life cycle.
- Awareness of phases such as requirements definition system design and testing / QA and transition to production.
- Deliver and respond as per service levels defined with the customers.
- Evaluation of the application/request given by the client communicating (E-mail Telephone Chat) with the requestor in case any clarifications arerequired.
- Gather the errors/problem documentation of the application by the application testers.
- Validate the Application Package for Internal Consistency errors using Package tools and troubleshooting accordingly.
- Remotely Package and Test Applications
- Performing Quality analysis for the Applications packaged using MSI Technology and delivering an error free package to the Customer.
- Ensure that the package complies with all client Standards
- Develop a process for Packaging incorporating the best practices
- Handle clientescalations for any production issues.
- Provide training on new tools to junior level employees for better quality and production.
- Must have 7 years of IT experience in Application Packaging across Windows Installer and modern packaging technologies including MSI/MSP/MSM/MST using tools like Wise Package Studio InstallShield PACE as well as MSIX packaging using MSIX Packaging Tool and Package Support Framework and macOS packaging using PKG/DMG creation and related utilities.
- Specialization in Windows Installer Technology MSIX packaging SCCM Intune Windows application integration/maintenance and macOS application packaging including code signing notarization and deployment through enterprise management tools.
- Must workconsistently to a very high standard even under high-pressure situations andmeeting deadlines with a commitment to customer service.
- Highly experienced in Application Packaging including Diagnostic Tools like Regmon Filemon Beyond Compare Picture Taker Dependency Walker InstallRite etc.
- Auto Assessment using compatibility test tools for Windows transformation projects.
- Very good scripting skills in VBS Wise Script batch & PowerShell scripting.
- Resolution of issues related to the packages with Team members and Clients.
- Good Knowledge on ITIL.
