Established in 2000 the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of theHong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) offering full-time Associate Degree (AD) Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE) one of the Faculties/Schools of HKBU. Lecturer II / Assistant Lecturer in Sport ()

Responsibilities:

The appointee will be responsible for teaching a variety of subjects within the fields of sports science coaching and administration. This includes imparting skills and professional knowledge related to these areas providing academic guidance to students organising and coordinating experiential learning activities and assisting in the ongoing review and design of courses and programs. Applicants should maintain strong connections with the sports industry and professional organisations. The role also involves supervising practicum.

Requirements:

Applicants should possess a higher degree preferably at the doctoral level in a relevant discipline along with substantial teaching experience. A masters degree will also be considered. Candidates must demonstrate dedication and a strong commitment to teaching and education both within and beyond the classroom. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential. Candidates with less experience and/or bachelors degree holders with coaching certificates and/or relevant experience may be considered for the position of Assistant Lecturer.

Reference salary range:

Lecturer II:HK$38000 - HK$53000

Assistant Lecturer :HK$30000 - HK$39000

The appointee will work at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
