Data Entry Clerk Intermediate

Contract: Up to 12 months (possible extension)
About the Role
The Government of Alberta is hiring an Intermediate Data Entry Clerk to support regulatory and operational processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment has strong attention to detail and can manage high-volume data entry with accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter update and maintain data in internal systems and Excel
- Work with systems such as Environmental Management System (EMS) Digital Regulatory Assurance System (DRAS) and Electronic Records Keeping System (ERKS)
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulatory procedures
- Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts
- Handle administrative tasks including filing scanning copying organizing and stamping documents
- Support internal portals and assist with basic troubleshooting
- Manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data entry or administrative roles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a high-volume fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Quick learner with problem-solving skills
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with DRAS ERKS or EMS systems
- Experience in the Canadian public sector
- Experience handling secure document exchange
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday (excluding holidays)
- 8:15 AM 4:30 PM (Alberta time)
- 7.25 hours/day 36.25 hours/week

- Criminal background check required
- Completion of mandatory training (FOIP Security Information Management Respect in the Workplace)
