Saint Francis Hospital a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our Cardiology Team!Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) - No weekends or holidays!
Location: 620 Stanton Christiana Road Suite 206 Newark DE 19713
The primary responsibility surrounds scheduling for the office but will include other Office Assistant responsibilities where needed.
Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
Schedules appointments
Check patient eligibility
Answers multi line telephones and retrieves accurate messages
Processreferrals
Comforts patients by anticipating patients anxieties; answering patients questions; maintaining the reception area.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining recording and updating personal and financial information.
Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collects payments according to insurance requirements
Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs.
Protects patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required
1 years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role
Excellent communication skills
Must be bilingual English- Spanish
Friendly and compassionate disposition
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records
