Job Summary

Brief Summary of Position

In this role you will be responsible for operating machine tools to produce precision parts to support the departments of Engineering Maintenance and Production. You will produce small batches or large quantities of parts and ensure products meet precise specifications according to the blueprints.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Operate machine tools (lathes milling machines grinders) to produce precision parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints specifications and work orders.
  • Calculate dimensions tolerances and positioning using micrometers Vernier calipers and math skills.
  • Determine proper feeds speeds and material removal for cutting and finishing operations. 
  • Set up machines select tools and materials and regulate temperature and vibration for quality output.
  • Perform routine maintenance tool sharpening and adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Maintain accurate job and attendance records.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors engineers and other departments.
  • Follow all safety environmental and plant policies; forklift certification required.
  • Keep workspace clean and organized while maintaining equipment in top condition.
  • Other Duties as Assigned Support additional maintenance and operational tasks as required.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • AAS Degree in Machine Tool Technology or a High School Diploma/GED with completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience. 
  • 3 years of machining experience with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. 
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visa now or in the future for this job opening.
