Job Summary
The Assistant Chief Engineer supports the Director of Engineering / Chief Engineer in overseeing the day-to-day operation maintenance repair and improvement of all engineering systems and facilities. This role ensures the property operates safely efficiently and in compliance with statutory and brand standards while delivering excellent guest and colleague experiences.
Qualifications :
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Electrical Building Services Engineering Facilities Management or related field
- Minimum 58 years engineering experience in hotel resort or large commercial property
- 23 years supervisory experience leading engineering/maintenance teams preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC electrical plumbing fire & life safety and building systems
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and energy management
- Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot technical issues
- Good leadership communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work under pressure and handle emergency situations
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Chargeman safety or fire training) are an advantage
