Job Summary

The Credit / Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the credit accounts receivable billing collections

and general accounting functions by supporting month end close and financial reporting as well as ensuring that

hotels service and accounting standards are met.

To consistently provide thoughtful caring and sincere service

To lead and manage the day-to-day activity of the Credit Department and ensure all standards are followed

To handle and ensure all procedures regarding billing collection credit cards inquiries chargebacks are followed

To inspect all in-house accounts to ensure adherence to the hotels credit policy; assist with the collection

efforts of these accounts where necessary

To review all requests for credit and approve as appropriate according to the in-house credit policies.

Communicate approval or non-approval to the appropriate managers

To manage and assist in the preparation of invoices refunds cancellations transfers for all approved group

transient golf and membership accounts with the appropriate supporting documentation

To obtain credit references and monitor Accounts Receivables ledgers and follow up on overdue balances

Coordinate with Front Office Membership Sales and Events teams on billing and payment instructions

To support internal and external audits to ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with

accepted policies and standard operating procedures

To assist with month end and prepare journal entries account reconciliations including ledger accounts and

ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met

To establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures

To balance operational administrative and Colleague needs

To ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses

To follow departmental policies and procedures and all safety policies

Maintain strong relationships with members guests and colleagues while resolving sensitive financial

matters professionally

Other duties as assigned


Qualifications :

Previous leadership experience in a Credit department and/or Accounting Manager an asset/preferred

Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and/or relevant computer applications required

University/College degree in a related discipline required/preferred

Proficiency in Excel aging analysis and reconciliations

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

Highly responsible & reliable with exceptional attention to detail

Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team

Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times

Ability to follow directions perform tasks with attention to detail speed accuracy and follow-through

Ability to work without direct supervision

Must have ability to secure minimum levels of skills and abilities that would allow for a proficient job

orientation based on specific tasks and methods

Physical Demands: Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:

Frequent sitting throughout shift.

Occasional walking lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.

Occasional kneeling pushing pulling lifting.

Occasional ascending or descending ladders stairs and ramps.
