Cyber Development Underwriter

What youll be doing:

• Underwriting complex SME cyber risks within agreed authority and appetite

• Owning and developing a panel of brokers positioning Markel as a preferred cyber partner

• Driving pipeline creation new business conversion and income delivery

• Actively engaging brokers through meetings development plans training and events

• Supporting broker education around cyber risk and insurance solutions

• Maintaining accurate CRM data to enable data-led engagement and reporting

• Contributing to team performance reporting and cyber trading activity

• Coaching and supporting junior underwriters through referrals and mentoring

• Working closely with internal partners to deliver strong outcomes for brokers and customers

What were looking for:

Youll be a commercially minded cyber underwriter who enjoys being visible in the market and influencing growth.

• Proven experience underwriting Cyber risks ideally within the SME space

• Strong knowledge of cyber exposures coverage and underwriting discipline

• Demonstrable success in building and developing broker relationships

• A confident communicator who can trade influence and win business

• Comfortable working with CRM systems and digital underwriting platforms

• Motivated collaborative and keen to help build a market-leading cyber proposition
