Job Summary
Role: BI Analyst
Experience & Education
- 14 years of experience in BI data analysis or MIS roles within fintech banking or payments
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Finance or related field
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL for analyzing transactional and financial datasets
- Hands-on experience with Power BI.
- Ability to design dashboards and MIS reports for:
- Experience with relational databases (SQL Server Oracle PostgreSQL)
- Strong command of Excel for financial analysis and reconciliation
- Basic understanding of ETL pipelines and data transformations
- Understanding of payments remittance FX cards or digital banking workflows
- Familiarity with financial KPIs:
- Ability to reconcile transaction-level data across systems
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into accurate actionable dashboards
- Perform root-cause analysis on transaction failures and discrepancies
- Support management reporting and ad-hoc analysis
- Validate data consistency across multiple source systems
Nice to Have
- Exposure to ledger settlement and reconciliation reports is a plus
- Awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements (QCB AML KYC audit)
- Basic Python for data analysis and automation
- Experience with payment gateways core banking or remittance platforms
- Exposure to data warehousing and dimensional modeling
- Experience building regulatory or audit reports
- Understanding of data privacy and access controls
