Your impact

The Governance and Compliance team within the developer enablement domain sits at the heart of Mollies infrastructure. We own and maintain Mollies entire PCI infrastructure including the IaC tooling built on Terraform and we sit directly in the critical payment path and communication layer between external works and our platform. That means what we build and maintain isnt just technical infrastructure; its the foundation that keeps payments moving safely and reliably for hundreds of thousands of businesses across Europe.

As a Platform Engineer on this team youll be working on Mollies Cloud Platform (MCP) our flavour of GCP enabling product teams to create real value. Your work will span critical cloud infrastructure automation observability and system reliability. Youll collaborate closely with system and software engineers and interface with teams across compute database engineering edge and networking. The impact is immediate and tangible: the systems you build and maintain keep Mollies payments running.

This is a role for someone who cares about quality for engineers and non-engineers alike and who brings a genuine passion for automation distributed systems and getting things right at scale.

What youll ship

• Design build and maintain critical cloud infrastructure on GCP. Including Load Balancers VPC CDN cross-region routes and API Gateway that keeps Mollies payment systems running reliably

• Drive automation across the platform using Go and Python reducing manual toil and building systems that scale without friction

• Own and evolve infrastructure as code using Terraform managing a broad set of infrastructure resources with consistency and confidence

• Set up and maintain observability across team-owned projects using tools like Datadog Google Cloud Logging and Sentry. So issues are caught early and resolved fast

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define set and maintain SLOs and SLAs that meet the needs of our business and our merchants

• Ship new products and platform improvements alongside system and software engineers balancing speed of delivery with a high bar for reliability and security

What youll bring

• Extensive hands-on knowledge of GCP and public cloud infrastructure. Youre comfortable owning critical systems at scale

• Solid experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code. You think in systems and know how to manage infrastructure with precision

• Strong Kubernetes experience you understand how to run and operate containerised workloads in production environments

• Proficiency in Python you can write automation and tooling that makes the platform easier to operate and extend

• A track record of working in environments where reliability and security arent afterthoughts. You know how to balance shipping fast with keeping systems well-operated and monitored

• A passion for automation and distributed systems. You default to building scalable repeatable solutions rather than one-off fixes
