Job Summary

Were now looking for an experienced Accounts & Finance Administrator to support the financial operations of the business and ensure our financial processes remain accurate organised and audit-ready.

This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys working in a structured compliance-focused environment where attention to detail documentation discipline and financial accuracy are critical.

What youll do

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Xero including raising invoices.
  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Process accounts payable and monitor accounts receivable.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and maintain debtor discipline.
  • Complete credit card reconciliations and expense coding.
  • Prepare weekly accounts receivable ageing reports.
  • Maintain a rolling cash position tracker to support cashflow visibility.
  • Monitor revenue against monthly targets.
  • Flag financial risks inconsistencies or emerging financial pressure points to the CEO.
  • Prepare month-end documentation for the external Chartered Accountant.
  • Maintain structured financial documentation to ensure the business remains audit-ready and compliant.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen financial controls and internal processes.
  • Support financial governance within a compliance-heavy professional services environment.

What youll bring

  • Minimum 5 years experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration.
  • Strong Xero proficiency (essential).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Experience working in a compliance-heavy or regulated industry such as legal accounting financial services healthcare or immigration is highly desirable.
  • Confidence working directly with business leadership.
  • Ability to identify inconsistencies and proactively flag potential financial risks.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership over financial accuracy.
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand.
