Test Automation Engineer

As a Test Automation Engineer a typical day involves applying structured quality processes and leveraging automation tools to enhance testing products and this role you will go beyond script development to design build and scale a robust automation framework using Playwright as the core testing tool. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset with strong experience in TypeScript/JavaScript-based automation frameworks and enterprise-level responsibilities will include continuous testing (functional API regression and security) building automation strategies and integrating testing within CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality releases. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME collaborate and manage the team to perform.- Lead the design and development of scalable automation frameworks using Playwright.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to key technical decisions.- Develop execute and maintain automated test scripts across UI API and regression layers.- Build reporting and observability dashboards for test execution and quality metrics.- Participate in code reviews defect tracking and continuous improvement initiatives.- Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and mentor team members.- Maintain comprehensive documentation for testing processes and frameworks. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Strong proficiency in Automated Testing with Playwright using Typescript or JavaScript and FIX -on experience with TypeScript (preferred) / JavaScript- Good to Have: Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Actions etc.)- Experience in API testing and integration testing- Knowledge of test reporting tools and dashboards- Familiarity with performance and security testing methodologies- Understanding of DevOps and Continuous Testing practices- Understanding of software development life cycle and quality assurance processes. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Automated Testing.- This position is based at our Pune office.- A 15 years full time education is required.
