Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Safety professional to support daily safety operations on an active semiconductor construction site. This role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements and helping maintain a safe working environment for employees contractors and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily field safety inspections of work areas tools equipment and jobsite conditions
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with site safety rules permits and procedures
- Support high-risk work activities including lockout/tagout confined space hot work energized work crane lifts and work at height
- Participate in pre-task planning Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and toolbox talks
- Identify unsafe behaviors or conditions and drive corrective actions to closure
- Assist with incident reporting investigations root cause analysis and corrective action tracking
- Maintain safety documentation including permits inspections training records and observations
- Provide new worker orientation and ongoing safety coaching in the field
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to cleanroom gowning and contamination control requirements
- Partner with construction managers subcontractors engineers and client representatives to improve site safety performance
- Respond to emergencies and support evacuation medical or incident response procedures
- Track leading indicators such as audits observations near misses and corrective actions
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of field safety experience in construction industrial manufacturing or semiconductor environments
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- Experience supporting multi-contractor job sites
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in active field environments including walking long distances climbing stairs or ladders and wearing PPE for extended periods
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on semiconductor cleanroom data center or mission-critical construction projects
- OSHA 510 certification
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Experience with permit-to-work systems and contractor management
- Familiarity with environmental health and safety systems
Work Environment
- Fast-paced construction and industrial setting
- Indoor and outdoor work depending on project phase
- May require nights weekends overtime or shift work
- PPE required at all times in designated areas

Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Native of the country of contracted work preferred.
- Fluent in the native language as well as English (primary or secondary language).
- In-depth knowledge of Quality Safety and Health standards and regulations for the identified country / region.
- Proficiency in contractor / subcontractor QSE management including mobilization / demobilization pre-qualification requirements pre-work evaluations contractor/subcontractor evaluations and post-work assessment.
- Proven expertise in jobsite hazard assessment/analysis/solution risk assessments incident investigation and root cause analysis using the 5 Why and TapRoot methods
- Development/implementation of processes and procedures including comprehensive Quality Safety and Environmental plans.
- Experience in conducting inspections and audits.
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must adhere to Vestas Business Partner Code of Conduct
- Physically capable to climb WTGs
- Must complete Vestas E-Learning courses for:
- 5 Whys
- Incident Management Process
- Safety Walks Even Better
- Managing Human Error
- Global Wind Organization training package (work at heights firefighting first aid and ergonomics) and SIT (safety introduction for technicians) trained.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree or Advanced Technical degree in Health Safety or Quality engineering related field or Certificate in relevant field (Example: Certified Construction Health and Safety Technician; General Safety Practitioner etc.) or
- Minimum of 3 years experience in wind energy industrial or civil construction or manufacturing.
Physical Requirements:
- Must weigh less than 300 lbs with 25 lbs of climb gear on.
- Must be able to climb towers at least once a week.
