Core Responsibilities
- Manages the requirements for planning organizing and implementing enterprise-wide technology infrastructure and configuration management functions.
- Leads the planning development implementation and evaluation of major configuration changes from acquisition to termination.
- Oversees the effective implementation and use of the configuration management process methodology tools procedures and audit activities.
- Develops and publishes metrics to qualify and quantify configuration success; ensures that configuration practices are in compliance with standards.
- Ensures the accuracy and validity of the configuration database for content on assets major infrastructure and platform components system documentation and service components.
Preferred Skills:
- Execute precision racking and stacking of compute storage and network equipment in accordance with rack elevation plans weight distribution guidelines airflow standards (hot/cold aisle) and OEM specifications.
- Expertise in configuring servers storage networking power and cooling systems to meet performance scalability and availability requirements.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux) virtualization platforms and network protocols to support reliable infrastructure operations.
- Ability to manage infrastructure changes using ITIL best practices ensuring accuracy documentation and minimal service disruption.
- Proven skill in diagnosing and resolving complex hardware software and connectivity issues within large-scale data center environments.
- Understanding of data center security standards access controls and compliance requirements (e.g. SOC ISO HIPAA) to ensure infrastructure integrity and risk mitigation.
