Job Summary
Position Title: Paraprofessional School Setting
Location: Somis CA 93066
Duration: 7 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift 5x6 Hours (07:30 AM 03:30 PM)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to provide individualized one-on-one support to a high-needs student within a structured school environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience strong behavioral support skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators and support staff to promote a safe and productive learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct one-on-one support to a high-needs student
- Assist with implementing behavioral intervention strategies and classroom management techniques
- Support the students academic social and emotional development
- Collaborate closely with teachers special education staff and school administrators
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and/or behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as directed
- Monitor track and document student progress and behavior
- Maintain a structured safe and supportive learning environment
- Assist with classroom activities routines and transitions
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Paraprofessional Behavior Technician or similar role in a school setting
- Strong behavioral management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with students requiring additional support
- Updated resume required
- Completion of Paraprofessional Skills Checklist required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with high-needs or special education students
- Familiarity with IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
