Position Title: Paraprofessional School Setting
Location: Somis CA 93066
Duration: 7 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift 5x6 Hours (07:30 AM 03:30 PM)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to provide individualized one-on-one support to a high-needs student within a structured school environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience strong behavioral support skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators and support staff to promote a safe and productive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct one-on-one support to a high-needs student
• Assist with implementing behavioral intervention strategies and classroom management techniques
• Support the students academic social and emotional development
• Collaborate closely with teachers special education staff and school administrators
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and/or behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as directed
• Monitor track and document student progress and behavior
• Maintain a structured safe and supportive learning environment
• Assist with classroom activities routines and transitions

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Paraprofessional Behavior Technician or similar role in a school setting
• Strong behavioral management and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with students requiring additional support
• Updated resume required
• Completion of Paraprofessional Skills Checklist required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with high-needs or special education students
• Familiarity with IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
