Services Technician

data centre infrastructure. Youll ensure all critical systems are maintained to Uptime Institute Operational Sustainability Gold standards while delivering reliable high-quality support to both internal teams and customers.

What will you do:

• Operate monitor and maintain critical infrastructure to meet uptime commitments
• Coordinate and manage contractors to ensure maintenance aligns with best-practice and UTI standards
• Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues to minimise downtime
• Perform routine testing preventative maintenance and system optimisation
• Participate in a rotating on-call roster to support 24/7 operations
• Work closely with Customer Success and senior technicians to deliver seamless service
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation Facility Rules and company policies
• Escalate incidents in line with established procedures
• Support the achievement and maintenance of data centre certifications
• Maintain accurate documentation (SWIs EOPs as-built drawings etc.)
• Assist with customer equipment handling installation and setup
• Contribute to training knowledge sharing and operational readiness drills

What will you need:

• Foundational knowledge of data centre infrastructure (electrical mechanical cooling fire systems)
•   Understanding of rack installation design and cable management
•   Familiarity with relevant standards and regulatory requirements
•   Experience with building management/monitoring systems
•   Proficiency in Microsoft Office
•   Strong problem-solving planning and organisational skills
•   Clear communication and ability to collaborate across teams

Qualifications :

• 2 years in data centre facilities building services or similar environment
• NV1 Security Clearance (or ability to obtain) essential
• Trade qualification in Electrical Mechanical (HVAC) or Telecommunications preferred
• Diploma (or equivalent) in engineering or a related technical field desirable
