Additionally you can visit our state-of-the-art animal hospital in Normal for all yourpets health needs. Whether you prefer at-home veterinary care or our fully equipped hospital our veterinarians provide the latest in pet health care including wellness care vaccines dental care and surgery. We also offer digital X-rays in-house laboratory services and ultrasound diagnostic care.
All of our veterinarians are certified Fear Free and certified Cat-Friendly practitioners.
Position Purpose

Heartland Veterinary Partners Externship Program works to provide veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them practice ready by their first day in practice.
Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

Eligibility
Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
Must be able to provide student PLIT
