HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting three seasoned highly skilled Associate Attorneys on behalf of a valued client partner an established civil litigation law firm with a respected multi-office platform. HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for these Associate Attorney opportunities.

We are seeking California-licensed attorneys with civil litigation experience who are eager to continue sharpening courtroom skills manage meaningful case responsibilities and grow within a collaborative defense practice. These hires will gain strong litigation exposure while working alongside experienced attorneys in a professional and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle court appearances hearings conferences and procedural matters
• Draft pleadings motions oppositions and legal memoranda
• Manage written discovery including requests responses meet-and-confer efforts and document review
• Take and defend depositions of parties witnesses and experts
• Participate in mediations settlement negotiations and dispute resolution strategy
• Assist with pre-trial preparation including exhibits witness coordination and trial filings
• Support trial proceedings and litigation strategy as matters advance
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients regarding case status strategy and reporting
• Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on active defense matters
• Maintain organized file management and deadline control across multiple cases

Required Qualifications (Highly Important)

• Active California Bar license in good standing
• 2 years of civil litigation experience preferred
• Strong legal writing research analytical reasoning and oral advocacy skills
• Experience handling motions discovery and court appearances
• Ability to manage multiple active matters in a deadline-driven environment
• Professional communication skills with clients courts and opposing counsel
• Strong ownership mindset with desire for continued litigation growth
• Stable employment history with clear progression; candidates with jumpy resumes will not be considered

Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Valued)

• Civil defense litigation background
• Deposition experience taking and defending witnesses
• Mediation and settlement negotiation experience
• Trial preparation or hearing exposure
• Insurance defense premises liability transportation construction defect or commercial litigation experience
• Experience managing client reporting responsibilities
• Desire to pursue partnership-track advancement

• Base Salary: $130000 $200000 (depending on experience)
