Sr. WordPress Developer

Position: Senior WordPress Developer

Location: EU

Contract: Full-time remote B2B

What Youll Do

• Architect and develop full-stack WordPress solutions including WooCommerce and custom plugin development
• Integrate AI-powered features: chatbots content automation personalization engines smart search recommendation systems
• Translate design mockups into clean responsive front-end code (HTML CSS JS)
• Optimize site performance security and scalability
• Collaborate cross-functionally using Git and maintain clear technical documentation

What Were Looking For

Must-have:

• 5 years of WordPress development (theme/plugin customization REST API WooCommerce)
• Strong PHP JavaScript HTML/CSS MySQL
• Full-stack mindset - comfortable from database to UI
• Deep familiarity with WordPress Codex standards and best practices proper hook architecture WPCS template hierarchy custom post types and taxonomies transients and the Plugin/Theme API
• Strong experience with ACF/ACF Pro for structured content modeling
• Solid PHP JavaScript HTML/CSS MySQL
• Full-stack mindset comfortable from database to UI
• SCSS and BEM methodology for maintainable scalable front-end code

Strongly preferred:

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows (Claude Code Copilot Cursor etc.)
• Experience with the ecosystem (Sage Bedrock Trellis) or similar opinionated WordPress frameworks
• Experience with headless WordPress or modern JS frameworks (React/Vue)
• Familiarity with managed WordPress hosting (WP Engine Kinsta or similar) including staging workflows and deployment pipelines

Nice to have:

• Other CMS experience: Headless (Sanity Gatsby) Magento Adobe Commerce Webflow
• Experience with headless CMS platforms (Sanity Contentful or similar)
• Exposure to enterprise e-commerce beyond WooCommerce (Magento Adobe Commerce)
