Job Summary
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires technical expertise patient care skills and adherence to safety and imaging protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
Prepare and position patients for imaging exams.
Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.
Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions.
Maintain compliance with safety standards including MRI safety protocols.
Document imaging procedures using systems such as Epic Systems.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams.
Schedule & Work Environment
Mid shift (8-hour shifts)
Monday to Friday schedule (2:00 PM 10:30 PM)
No weekend or on-call requirements
Hospital or imaging center setting
No block scheduling
Required Qualifications
Active state license (required at submission)
Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in MRI (ARRT-MR)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of MRI imaging procedures and protocols
Patient positioning and care
MRI safety and compliance
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
