Job Summary

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires technical expertise patient care skills and adherence to safety and imaging protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging exams.
  • Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards including MRI safety protocols.
  • Document imaging procedures using systems such as Epic Systems.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Mid shift (8-hour shifts)
  • Monday to Friday schedule (2:00 PM 10:30 PM)
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Hospital or imaging center setting
  • No block scheduling

Required Qualifications

  • Active state license (required at submission)
  • Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in MRI (ARRT-MR)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Minimum 2 years of MRI experience

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of MRI imaging procedures and protocols
  • Patient positioning and care
  • MRI safety and compliance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
