Job Summary
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires technical expertise patient care skills and adherence to safety and imaging protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging exams.
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards including MRI safety protocols.
- Document imaging procedures using systems such as Epic Systems.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Mid shift (8-hour shifts)
- Monday to Friday schedule (2:00 PM 10:30 PM)
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Hospital or imaging center setting
- No block scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Active state license (required at submission)
- Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in MRI (ARRT-MR)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of MRI imaging procedures and protocols
- Patient positioning and care
- MRI safety and compliance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
