Manufacturing Design & Implementation (MD&I) is a global organization of project managers and specialists with a wide knowledge and diverse backgrounds. We are carrying out the LEGO values and striving to continuously improve ourselves.

The Factory Design and Layout Sr. Engineer are working in the MD&I organization with concepts projects layouts and development of solutions for new factory designs and setups. Furthermore identification and roll-out of improvements/best practice and optimizing the existing production processes and setups.

Core Responsibilities

• Build knowledge and logistic flow understanding to develop results such as the improvement of production layouts factory design and documentation.
• Ensure coherence and collaboration across factory platforms within MD&I and within Operations understanding the E2E flows in general.
• Build relationships with all key collaborators both onsite and globally.
• Proactively support production layout updates and ensure that LEGO is following the global standardization agenda.
• Collaborate with all technology platforms in R&D areas to secure the latest versions are incorporated into standards.
• Responsible for global involvement and alignment within your own area of responsibility and compliance with LEGO requirements and standards.
• Identify risks and opportunities in functional areas and in general.

Do you have what it takes

• Relevant educational background in technical build CAD build drafting or industrial build.
• Strong experience within factory layouts or technical development of factory equipment or logistics systems.
• Highly skilled with Autodesk software especially AutoCAD 2D and 3D and Inventor.
• Trained in and/or experienced in Project Management.
• Ability to travel up to 40 days per year.
• Knowledge and understanding of operational and/or logistic processes in a production environment.
• Good communication skills both in English and Spanish verbally and in writing and comfortable in presenting complex ideas.
