Room Attendant
We are currently recruiting for a Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping Department. This is an opportunity to work within a professional team in a fast paced luxury hotel environment with excellent training and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest bedrooms bathrooms and public areas
- Service vacant and occupied rooms in line with hotel standards
- Ensure all guest rooms are presented to exacting five star standards with strong attention to detail
- Replenish guest amenities linen and supplies to required standards
- Carry out evening turndown service where required
- Anticipate guest needs and contribute to enhancing the in room guest experience
- Complete cleaning schedules and checklists accurately
- Report maintenance issues damages or safety concerns promptly
- Handle guest belongings with care ensuring privacy discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Follow lost property procedures in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas and linen rooms
- Ensure correct use storage and care of cleaning equipment and materials
- Assist with deep cleaning programmes and periodic project work as required
- Support stock control by reporting low levels of supplies
- Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure seamless service
- Respond to guest requests in a professional and courteous manner
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives including responsible use of resources and recycling
- Follow all health safety hygiene and security procedures
- Carry out any additional duties as assigned by management in line with operational requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel housekeeping role is desirable but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Ability to work in a busy and physically demanding environment
- Positive and reliable team player
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- A good standard of spoken English is essential
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and public holidays
