Job Summary

Position: Coach/Teaching AssignmentJob Status: Full-Time/208Classification: CertifiedClass: ExemptJob Description: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and social growth. Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain professional behavior appearance and work ethic to represent the school district positively at all relentless commitment to the academic achievement of all and maintain an orderly classroom environment in which students actively and implement lesson plans that fulfill the districts curriculum program lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies activities materials and equipment that reflect an understanding of students learning styles and district-approved curriculum based on state frameworks and an assessment of student learning styles and use results to plan instructional cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established in Individual Education Plans (IEP).Work with other staff members to determine instructional goals objectives and methods according to district and supervise instructional assistant(s) and volunteer(s) technology to strengthen the teaching and learning ongoing assessments of student achievement through interim and formative responsibility for extracurricular activities as assignedsponsor outside activities approved by the campus a positive role model for students and support the school districts student behavior per student policies and the student all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and in the selection of books equipment and other instructional and maintain open communication with parents and students concerning students academic and behavioral effective communication skills to present information accurately and in professional development activities to improve job-related informed of and comply with state district and school regulations and policies for classroom maintain and file all required reports records and other responsibility for assigned non-teaching all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities. Maintains accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy and administrative regulations. Assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or student life rules. Develops reasonable classroom behavior and procedure rules and maintains order fairly and justly. Attends all staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required. Adheres to District State and Arkansas Activities Associations regulations regarding eligibility of leads and participates with the coaching staff in the skill development of all an open line of communication with students parents school administration and district in all aspects of the college recruiting a culture of respect among coaches players parents and the directly with the booster club to enhance the relationship between the school staff and the high expectations of all involved in the tennis program including school administration staff students parents and a culture and climate of academic and athletic other duties as assigned. Valid Arkansas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the assigned subject and level or the ability to obtain an Arkansas teaching certificate in the assigned subject level. Applicants who hold an out-of-state teaching certificate must provide documentation showing they have started reciprocity procedures as required by the Arkansas Department of pass a preliminary criminal background and child maltreatment personal and professional conduct at all times while around students staff and members of the have or be able to complete Science of Reading Awareness within 30 days of hire. Work Environment: Most job responsibilities for this position are in an indoor school environment that is temperature controlled (heated and cooled) according to the season.
