2026 RCMS Summer Program Health Aide

Position: One (1) Health Staff (Nurse LPN or Health Aide) for the RCMS Summer program.

Funding Source: Special Education

When:May26 ï½ (5 hr.) Prep Day. May 2728June 1-5June 8-12June15-18:Prep to go over records ofattending students and prep for the upcoming weeks. Hours are 7:45 am to 12:15 pm. Students will attend 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Purpose: This summer programming aims to provide academic opportunities for students to earn credit as wellas academic enrichment and support activities beyond the regular academic year. The RCMS Summer
Health Aide will work with the program teachers program coordinator paraprofessionals and theadministrator.

Qualifications:

1. CPR and First Aid certified preferred
2. Valid Nevada drivers license
3. The candidate demonstrates:
   • A high level of professional commitment to the NCSD and RCMSvision and areas of academic focus;
   • Leadership skills and the ability to work closely and cooperatively with other team members;
   • A strong insight and understanding of the needs of middle school students;
   • The ability to work collaboratively and communicate with diverse groups;
   • A belief that all students can learn along with the belief that teachers impact outcomes

Salary Range: Current Hourly Rate

Performance Responsibilities:

• Ability to administer first aid to students and provide short-term care to injured or ill students;
• Administer and record medication according to district policy;
• Be available via radio at all times to perform the above tasks as needed;
• Report observations to administration and/or CPS when appropriate;
• Work closely and cooperatively with teachers in the program the coordinator and all RCMS/PVHS administration to structure the best learning environment for all students;
• Assist with supervision of students during nutrition times;
• Assist teachers paraprofessionals administrators and other staff in the classrooms during programming with access to a radio at all times;
• Assist with the development and updates of any necessary communication between the team and the coordinator(s) students parents

Location: Rosemary Clarke Middle School

Preference will be given to those applicants who are currently employed as a Nurse LPN or Health Aide by Nye County School District.
