Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist for a 20-week travel assignment supporting a rural school district in Rock Hall Maryland. This role spans the academic year and involves providing psychological and educational support across multiple school sites including elementary middle and high school levels.

The district serves approximately 1700 students and offers a manageable caseload with around 220 active IEPs. This is an itinerant position requiring travel between school locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and student assessments
• Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers parents and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in eligibility IEP and team meetings
• Provide behavioral and academic intervention strategies
• Ensure compliance with federal state and district special education regulations
• Maintain accurate documentation reports and student records
• Deliver consultation and guidance to school staff and families
• Provide crisis intervention and student support as needed
• Travel between multiple school sites within the district

Qualifications

• Active Maryland School Psychologist License (required at time of submission)
• Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
• Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Strong assessment analytical and report-writing skills
• Solid understanding of IEP processes and special education laws
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to manage a caseload across multiple locations
