Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join a Radiation Oncology team in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will deliver radiation treatments as prescribed ensure patient safety and collaborate with oncology staff to provide high-quality care.
Schedule
- Day Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
- 5x8-hour shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Position patients accurately and operate radiation therapy equipment
- Monitor patients during treatment and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation in EMR systems
- Collaborate with oncologists physicists and clinical staff
- Educate patients on treatment procedures and side effects
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience
- ARRT (T) certification (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
