Job Summary

Job Title: HRBP Glasgow Site Location: Clydebank Glasgow Hours: Full time 36.5 hours per week Site basedReports to: UK HR Business Partner No sponsorship available applicants must have the right to work in the UKRole PurposeThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Officer or HR Advisor looking to step into a HR Business Partner role. You will support the delivery of people plans aligned to business objectives working closely with managers to provide pragmatic commercially aware HR role combines operational HR delivery with the development of business partnering capability offering exposure to stakeholder engagement organisational change and people ResponsibilitiesBusiness Partnering & Stakeholder SupportBuild effective working relationships with line managers across your business areaProvide coaching and guidance on people-related matters including performance absence and employee relationsSupport managers in implementing HR initiatives aligned to business goalsBegin to influence decision-making through insight and HR expertiseRepresent HR at town halls employee forums and internal communicationsEmployee Relations & Operational HRManage a range of employee relations cases (disciplinary grievance absence performance)Ensure consistent application of HR policies and employment legislationSupport complex ER cases with guidance from senior HR colleaguesManage the full recruitment process: drafting job ads arranging interviews and onboarding new startersPeople Development & PerformanceSupport the delivery of performance management processesWork with managers to identify development needs and support talent progressionContribute to succession planning and workforce planning activitiesCoordinate training activities and track learning outcomesChange & ProjectsSupport organisational change initiatives such as restructures or team realignmentsContribute to HR projects (e.g. engagement wellbeing DEI process improvement)Assist in implementing new HR policies and practicesHR Data & InsightResponsible for the maintenance and upkeep of in-house data ensuring compliance with GDPR and privacy HR data to identify trends and inform discussions with managersSupport reporting on key metrics such as absence turnover and engagementSkills & ExperienceEssentialExperience in an HR Officer or HR Advisor roleStrong employee relations knowledge and practical case management experienceConfident communicator with the ability to build relationships with stakeholdersGood understanding of UK employment lawCIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards)Exposure to supporting multiple sites or business areas with the flexibility to occasionally travel to support operations in Daventry and CardiffDesirableExperience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment experience contributing to HR projects or change initiativesKey BehavioursProactive and solutions-focusedWilling to learn and step into a more strategic roleResilient and able to manage competing prioritiesCommercially aware with a practical approach to HRDevelopment OpportunityThis role is designed as a stepping stone into a fully-fledged HR Business Partner position.
