The Operations Intern works within the Operations department. This department is responsible for the receiving and distribution of our products while also maintaining a clean and safe work environment. To support these tasks this position will:
- Learn the overall cycle of the Food banking process
- Work daily with the Warehouse and Transportation teams to learn Operation processes
- Learning correlations between Warehouse Operations and Transportation
- Assist Operations teams with data analytics to help implement more efficient processes for our operations
- Assist in AIB audit preparations to maintain and organize documentation
Skills:
- Compassionate patient and sensitive to the needs of people experiencing food insecurity
- Basic computer skills; typing data entry Outlook Microsoft Suite
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to follow safety protocols
