Vice President of Technology

Job Summary:

The Vice President of Technology is responsible fordefining and executingSmartLightstechnology vision ensuring the scalability security and reliability of our platforms and aligning technology strategy with business goals. This role provides executive leadership across engineering data infrastructure and security while partnering closely with product operations and commercial teams to support sustained growth in healthcare analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and leadSmartLightstechnology strategy architecture and roadmap includingbuild vs. buy decisions vendor selection and platform modernization aligned to company objectives

• Own endtoend technology execution across engineering data infrastructure and IT services ensuring scalable reliable secure and costeffective delivery

• Establish and enforce best practices for software development data engineering cloud infrastructure DevOps and quality assurance

• Oversee data governance security privacy and compliance programsappropriate forhealthcare and regulated data

• Lead develop andretainhighperforming technical teams including hiring performance management and leadership development

• Manage the technology budget resource planning and risk management to support business priorities

• Partner closely with Product Operations and Commercial leaders to translate business priorities into technical outcomes

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to the executive team providing clear communication transparency and decision support

• Infrastructure (on-prem and cloud servers backups networking)

• Security Program (compliance data governancesecurityaudits)

• ProductManagement (businessto technology interfacing)

• Software Engineering (building webapps)

• Quality Assurance (testing our suite ofdeveloped products)

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree inComputerScience Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience

• 12 years of progressive experience in technology engineering data or related technical disciplines

• 5 years of experience in senior technical leadership roles (Director level or above)

• Demonstrated success scaling technology platforms and teams in a growthoriented environment

• Strong background in modern cloudbased architectures and data platforms

• Deep understanding of security reliability and operational excellence

• Proven ability to lead crossfunctional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience inhealthcaredomain includingan understanding ofclaimsdatacompliant application development and/orworkingwithcarriers

• Familiarity with largescale data processing machine learning or analytics platforms

• Prior experienceoperatingat the executive level including reporting to a CEO or board

• Improve platform scalability performance and reliability to support continued customer growth and data volume

• Strengthen security data governance and compliance practicesappropriate forhealthcare and regulated datawith improved audit readiness and risk mitigation

• Improvedelivery reliability by consistently delivering what is committed on time with fewer defects less rework and fewer lastminute surprises for the business

• Build a strong technical leadership benchby filling key leadership gaps within 612 months reducing regretted attrition year over year and improving engagement and retention across technical architectural complexity and highimpact technical debt by retiring or refactoringidentifiedconstraint areas with measurable reductions in cycle time system incidents and maintenance effort

• Establish strong crossfunctional partnerships with Product Operations and Commercial teams reflected in shared quarterly planning clearer ownership and faster execution on crossfunctional initiatives

• Enable faster innovation by increasing the frequency of new releases and enhancements whilemaintainingor improving system stability security andclienttrust

• Improve responsiveness to timesensitive business needs by reducing average requesttodelivery cycle time
