Banquet & Events Intern

The Banquet & Events Intern acts as the key link between meeting planners and all operational departments ensuring seamless event execution and exceptional guest service. This role supports the full planning and on-site delivery of events proactively anticipates client needs and consistently upholds Sheratons service standards & addition the intern contributes to the propertys commercial success by identifying opportunities to elevate experiences enhance revenue and strengthen client relationships by phone in person or in writing.

Responsibilities:

• Assist event hosts and coordinators before functions; confirm details and review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure accurate execution.
• Support event setup buffets action stations and special requests with a keen eye for presentation and upselling opportunities.
• Deliver professional attentive guest service; actively anticipate guest needs and highlight enhancements or add-ons when appropriate.
• Communicate clearly and confidently with guests colleagues and supervisors support phone handling and internal communication.
• Help ensure events meet service quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with multiple departments (Sales Kitchen Front Office Housekeeping Engineering) to resolve issues promptly and support smooth operations.
• Report maintenance needs and follow all safety security and company procedures.
• Build positive client interactions observe guest preferences and share potential sales leads or future business opportunities with the Events & Sales teams.
