Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician
Location: New York NY
Duration: 8 Weeks (Temp-to-Hire)
Schedule: Monday Friday 08:00 AM 04:00 PM (40 hrs/week)
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists with patient care diagnostic testing and clinical operations in a fast-paced eye care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform eye exams (visual field ocular motility color vision tonometry pupil assessment)
- Assist with intraocular pressure and pharmacological testing
- Manage patient flow collect medical history and coordinate imaging/tests
- Educate patients and address questions
- Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment (slit lamp keratometer etc.)
- Prepare and sterilize instruments; assist in minor procedures and surgeries
- Ensure clean safe and organized clinical environment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ophthalmic Technician Certification (Required)
- Strong communication multitasking and organizational skills
