Housekeeping Crew Memberperforms a variety of tasks related to custodial and cleaning services before an event during an event and after an event. Also responsible for routine trash removal and facility cleanup. Ability to work odd or unusual hours split shifts or holidays in preparing for an event. Ability to perform routine custodial and minor maintenance work in the cleaning and care of the facilities.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00.

Since its grand opening in 2011 the Greensboro Aquatic Center (GAC) has emerged as one of the top aquatic facilities in the nation. A state-of-the-art facility featuring cutting-edge concepts in aquatic design the GAC is located on the campus of the Greensboro Complex the premier sports and entertainment facility in the Southeast. Built at a cost of nearly $19 million the GAC brings together all major aquatic sportscompetitive swimming and diving water polo synchronized swimming and other unique sportsall in one venue. The GACs versatility offers Greensboro the opportunity to host high school and collegiate events USA Swimming meets U.S. Masters Swimming and U.S. Water Polo events as well as myriad local regional national and international competitions. The GACs impressive national swim meet resume includes numerous NCAA ACC YMCA and USA Diving competitions. According to the Greensboro Convention & Visitors Bureau the estimated economic impact of GAC events exceeds $224 million.

• Mix and prepare cleaning products; clean facility interior and exterior; vacuum sweep mop clean and wax floors.
• Ensures a safe environment for patrons; removes liquids and debris from walkways through the building during events.
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures; replenish supplies in restrooms. Wash windows mirrors walls and countertops.
• Remove and dispose of debris from parking lots and walkways; empty waste receptacles.
• Perform additional staff functions for events.
• Report known or expected irregularities to the immediate supervisor to ensure compliance.
• Follow OSHA and in-house safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• 1-3 years of related work experience cleaning multiple facilities.
• Working knowledge of building cleaning practices methods supplies and equipment.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive custodial tasks without immediate supervision.
• Ability to lift/push heavy objects.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule including days evenings weekends and holidays.
• Required to successfully complete on site CPR and blood borne pathogen training.
