Rate: 600-650pd Location: Onsite - Somerset Contract: 6 months - possible extension
Are you looking for an opportunity to take the lead on high-assurance VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.x deployments We have an exciting role for a Senior VCF Engineer to join a high-security UK project onsite. Youll drive VCF orchestration NSX networking & security Aria Operations and storage integration ensuring a secure resilient and fully managed private cloud. This role is ideal for engineers with expert-level VCF/NSX experience and experience in MOD government or national infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end deployment of Management and Workload Domains using SDDC Manager VCF Installer (Cloud Builder) and VCF Operations.
Design and implement NSX virtual networking topologies including Tier-0/Tier-1 gateways load balancers and Distributed Firewall (DFW) micro-segmentation policies.
Configure and optimize Aria Operations Aria Logs and Aria Automation for proactive management and automation.
Integrate NetApp ONTAP storage with performance and path redundancy in mind.
Manage patching and upgrades of the full VMware stack (ESXi vCenter NSX Aria) via VCFs Lifecycle Management (LCM) workflows.
Collaborate on identity and authentication security for all management planes.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Expert-level knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (v8.x/9.x) and multi-site/multi-cluster architectures.
Deep experience with VMware NSX particularly security-driven networking and overlay-to-underlay integration.
Proficient with Aria Operations Aria Logs and Aria Automation.
Experience in UK High-Security environments (MOD Government or National Infrastructure).
Preferred Certifications:
VCP-VMC VMware Certified Professional: VMware Cloud
VCIX-NV VMware Certified Implementation Expert: Network Virtualization
