Weresearching for a Director of Procurement (North America) to join our Finance & Strategic Operations team so that we can manage technology andenterprise spendmore systematically securely and efficiently. The Director of Procurement will build and lead our procurement functionacross software technology and broader vendorspendto deliver better commercial outcomes stronger governance and more mature scalable processes acrossRLDatix.

HowYoullSpend Your Time

• Lead and matureRLDatixsprocurement function to standardize intake evaluation negotiation and approval processes for any spend over $50K with a focus on software and technology.

• Partner with Finance CIS Engineering Legal Compliance Security and business leaders to shape a pragmatic procurement engagement model that protects the business without sending everything to RFP.

• Negotiate complex software and services agreementsincluding licensing usagebased pricing renewals and consolidationstooptimizecommercial value while supporting business growth and adoption.

• Develop and refine procurement governance: locking down card and licensepurchasing refining policies and creating auditable workflows that support areas such as AI governance and data protection.

• Use tools like NetSuite and other internal systems to trackspendidentifysavings opportunities and build dashboards and KPIs that measure procurement performance and process health.

• Introduce and championnew technologies(including AIdriven tools and agents) that increase visibility control and speed across theprocurementlifecycle and asset management activities.

• Build and lead a small highperforming team (initially you plus one existing resource with a path to a 45 personteam) through coaching clear expectations and consistent feedback.

• Interface crossfunctionally across regions and functions to understand needs challenge assumptions where needed and help the business distinguish between what we should buy and what we should build.

• Continuously assess our current landscape (we dont know what we dont know) and translate insights into a prioritized roadmap of process improvements policies and tooling recommendations.

What Kind of ThingsWereMost Interested in You Having

• Significant (8 years) procurement experience in a Technology/SaaS environment including recent handson responsibility for software negotiations and vendor management.

• Experience supporting a company ofroughly $500M in revenue with comfortoperatingin complex multistakeholder fastmoving environments.

• Proven success designing and executing strategic sourcing strategies that span intake evaluation negotiation and renewal across multiple categoriesespecially software and technology.

• Indepth knowledge of procurement governance and compliance including building or maturing policies controls and auditready documentation for spend vendor and asset management.

• Ability to commute to our Chicago office 23 days per week with flexibility for North Americabased candidates who can travel periodically to Chicago as needed.

• Strong crossfunctional collaboration skills witha track recordof building trusted relationships with Finance IT/CIS Engineering Legal Compliance Security and business leaders.

• High degree of technology fluency and curiosity including awareness of evolving trends (such as AI and agents) and how to apply them in a procurement context.

• A proactive builder mindset: comfortable stepping into an environment without a fully established procurement organization and creating structure processes and KPIs from the ground up.

• Recognition (for example via LinkedIn recommendations) from stakeholders outside of Procurementsuch as business technology or vendor partnersfor vendor management negotiation or stakeholder leadership.
