NDT Level II Inspector

Job Summary
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
LEAD:
NDT inspections (RT VT MT PT etc.)
Develop and lead an in-house RT program
Perform review and interpret radiographic images and reports
Notify supervisors and other personnel of quality problem(s) and assist in identifying and correcting those concerns
Train coach and mentor assistants technicians and trainers in quality workmanship and best practices
Verify and support safety requirements compliance
Radiation Safety Compliance
COORDINATE:
RT Inspections to ensure safety is prioritized and efficiencies are identified
Team growth and training
Maintain and improve product quality by collaborating with other team members to develop new process designs manufacturing and training methods
SUPPORT:
Maintain NDT personnel certifications & associated documentation
Assist with review of contract requirements and vendor/contractor requirements
Collecting and compiling relevant quality statistical data
Assist with inspection activities as needed
Assist with training needs including leading or co-facilitating training classes as needed regarding quality procedures and processes
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Certifications: RT PT VT UT & MT; IRRSP
Radiation Safety Training & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Engineering is preferred or a minimum of 5 years experience as a Level II.
Strong background in inspection equipment and techniques
- Must be able to pass a GSEC background check.
Understands value of time and materials.
Effective problem-solving skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods lift to 50 pounds stoop climb and use ladders to perform various inspection tasks and studies.
- Handling and moving objects- Using hands and arms inhandling positioning and moving materials
- Must be able to stand squat bend crawl reach
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Manufacturing environment: May be exposed to loud noises changing temperatures machinery with moving parts and exotic materials.
ITAR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to and abide by all ITAR-specific job standards and training. Protect and properly safeguard ITAR-sensitive information and work product; ensure dissemination or disclosure of and access to protected data occurs only with those trained and approved for exposure to ITAR content.
- IMMEDIATELY notify Supervisor/Manager Human Resources Legal (email: ) or the Samuel Ethics Alert Hotline of known or suspected unauthorized disclosure release of or access to protected ITAR content.
