Job Summary

Description

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

LEAD:

  • NDT inspections (RT VT MT PT etc.)

  • Develop and lead an in-house RT program

  • Perform review and interpret radiographic images and reports

  • Notify supervisors and other personnel of quality problem(s) and assist in identifying and correcting those concerns

  • Train coach and mentor assistants technicians and trainers in quality workmanship and best practices

  • Verify and support safety requirements compliance

  • Radiation Safety Compliance

COORDINATE:

  • RT Inspections to ensure safety is prioritized and efficiencies are identified

  • Team growth and training

  • Maintain and improve product quality by collaborating with other team members to develop new process designs manufacturing and training methods

SUPPORT:

  • Maintain NDT personnel certifications & associated documentation

  • Assist with review of contract requirements and vendor/contractor requirements

  • Collecting and compiling relevant quality statistical data

  • Assist with inspection activities as needed

  • Assist with training needs including leading or co-facilitating training classes as needed regarding quality procedures and processes

  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certifications: RT PT VT UT & MT; IRRSP

  • Radiation Safety Training & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering is preferred or a minimum of 5 years experience as a Level II.
  • Strong background in inspection equipment and techniques

  • Must be able to pass a GSEC background check.
  • Understands value of time and materials.

  • Effective problem-solving skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods lift to 50 pounds stoop climb and use ladders to perform various inspection tasks and studies.
  • Handling and moving objects- Using hands and arms inhandling positioning and moving materials
  • Must be able to stand squat bend crawl reach

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Manufacturing environment: May be exposed to loud noises changing temperatures machinery with moving parts and exotic materials.
