Overview
Occupational Therapist Assistant- Full Time - SWAN Outpatient Neuro Rehab Clinic
Who we are looking for:
- Provide 1:1patient care in 60-minute treatment sessions focusing on functional rehabilitation for adults with neurological injuries
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary teamof passionate skilled therapists to focus on patient-centered outcomes
- Provide personalized care in an innovative outpatient setting utilizing the latest technology and equipment
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in exercise ADLs functional activities and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist Occupational Therapist in the collection of outcome measures and completion of complex treatment procedures
- Educate patients families and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by the Occupational Therapist
- Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
- Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
- Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application
- Minimum of 1 year experience preferred related to treatment of complex neurological injuries
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
- Current CPR certification
