Role Description
The Wire FabricationTechnician uses a variety of avionics tools techniques and materials tofabricate wire harnesses simple parts and subassemblies used in thecompletion of VIP aircraft.
Essential Job Functions
Fabricatehigh-quality wire harnesses and subassemblies in accordance with Comluxapproved procedures.
Interpretmaterial specifications and engineering drawings to ensure fabricated partsmeet design specifications quality standards and customer expectations.
Request requiredmaterials using approved documentation and systems in a timely manner tomaintain continuous workflow.
Adhere to allregulatory documentation requirements including proper signoffs and completionof paperwork in accordance with the Comlux RSQM and other applicable qualitystandards.
Follow alldepartmental safety guidelines and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
Maintain a basicknowledge of company installation procedures process specifications IOPs andrelated documentation.
Perform otherduties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience
High schooldiploma or GED required. Relevant trade school training is preferred.
Basic knowledgeof fabrication processes as they relate to the corporate aviation industrypreferably within an aircraft completions environment.
Ability to readwrite speak and understand the English language.
Ability to readand interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
Required Skills andAbilities
Basic knowledgeof and willingness to learn all aspects of the wire fabrication process.
Willingness todevelop knowledge of RSQM and FAA requirements related to wire harnesses andsubassembly fabrication.
Working knowledgeof computers and software applications utilized by Comlux.
Willingness tolearn lean manufacturing principles or other continuous improvementmethodologies.
Ability tocommunicate in a professional assertive and tactful manner.
Work Environment
This position is based inan aircraft hangar environment and may involve:
Exposure tovarying temperatures and weather conditions
Loud noise levels
Use of heavymachinery and specialized tools
Potential contactwith chemicals or hazardous materials
Working inconfined aircraft interior spaces
