EPC Director

Job Description

Enemix are seeking a motivated and accomplished EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) Director to join the team at a leading renewable energy asset developer and owner. The EPC Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of EPC responsibilitiesfor utility-scale renewable energy projects ensuring successful execution from planning to commissioning.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end management of engineering procurement and construction activities for utility-scale renewable energy assets ensuring timely cost-effective and high-quality project execution.
• Oversee project setup including resource planning cost estimation and scheduling to align with organizational objectives.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including contractors suppliers consultants regulators and clients within the Australian renewable energy sector.
• Drive procurement strategies and negotiations to maximize value mitigate risks and ensure adherence to contractual agreements.
• Assess and manage project risks through comprehensive risk analyses to ensure project safety compliance and financial performance.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including delivery engineering legal and finance teams to support project development and delivery goals.
• Monitor and control project budgets ensuring financial tracking and reporting are accurate and compliant with internal policies.
• Work closely with clients providing strong project oversight and ensuring satisfaction at each stage of the project.
• Serve as a leader by mentoring developing and inspiring teams fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment that champions innovation and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to enhance organizational processes and deliver exceptional operational performance.

Qualifications:

• Degree (or equivalent) in project management engineering construction management or a related field. A masters degree or equivalent qualification will be a plus.
• Strong track record of leadership in EPC roles focusing on utility-scale renewable energy projects including wind solar or energy storage systems.
• Extensive experience in project setup procurement and managing large-scale projects with demonstrable financial acumen.
• Solid understanding of Australian renewable energy regulations standards and market dynamics.
• Proven ability to assess and manage risks in complex project environments.
• Exceptional client and stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to build and maintain a strong network within the Australian renewable energy industry.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills able to inspire teams and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
• Solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to enhancing sustainability and operational efficiency.

On a typical day you can expect to:

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for ongoing EPC projects performing risk assessments and making critical decisions regarding project execution.
• Engage with suppliers contractors and internal teams to ensure seamless and effective project delivery.
• Work with the procurement team to develop and execute strategies focused on long-term value creation.
• Monitor project progress quality standards and financial trends to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
• Lead key project meetings drive alignment among stakeholders and offer engineering and construction insights to inform pivotal decisions.
• Build relationships with industry partners regulators and associations to strengthen the organizations market presence.
