Enemix are seeking a motivated and accomplished EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) Director to join the team at a leading renewable energy asset developer and owner. The EPC Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of EPC responsibilitiesfor utility-scale renewable energy projects ensuring successful execution from planning to commissioning.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end management of engineering procurement and construction activities for utility-scale renewable energy assets ensuring timely cost-effective and high-quality project execution.
- Oversee project setup including resource planning cost estimation and scheduling to align with organizational objectives.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including contractors suppliers consultants regulators and clients within the Australian renewable energy sector.
- Drive procurement strategies and negotiations to maximize value mitigate risks and ensure adherence to contractual agreements.
- Assess and manage project risks through comprehensive risk analyses to ensure project safety compliance and financial performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including delivery engineering legal and finance teams to support project development and delivery goals.
- Monitor and control project budgets ensuring financial tracking and reporting are accurate and compliant with internal policies.
- Work closely with clients providing strong project oversight and ensuring satisfaction at each stage of the project.
- Serve as a leader by mentoring developing and inspiring teams fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment that champions innovation and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to enhance organizational processes and deliver exceptional operational performance.
Qualifications:
- Degree (or equivalent) in project management engineering construction management or a related field. A masters degree or equivalent qualification will be a plus.
- Strong track record of leadership in EPC roles focusing on utility-scale renewable energy projects including wind solar or energy storage systems.
- Extensive experience in project setup procurement and managing large-scale projects with demonstrable financial acumen.
- Solid understanding of Australian renewable energy regulations standards and market dynamics.
- Proven ability to assess and manage risks in complex project environments.
- Exceptional client and stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to build and maintain a strong network within the Australian renewable energy industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills able to inspire teams and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to enhancing sustainability and operational efficiency.
