Wieland is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator. The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy integrity and efficiency of HR processes while providing exceptional customer service to employees supervisors and leadership. The HR Coordinator works closely with the HR team and operations to support workforce administration compliance and employee experience initiatives that drive operational success. The HR Coordinator serves as a critical on-site partner supporting the business delivering high-quality human capital coordination and administrative support within a dynamic unionized manufacturing environment. This role is located in Montpelier OH and will be fully on-site.

Responsibilities

Human Resources Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a primary point of contact for supervisors and production employees providing timely accurate responses to HR-related inquiries.
  • Supports compliance with labor union contracts where applicable.
  • Provides general administrative duties including filing mailing scanning faxing and coordination of meetings and employee engagement activities.
  • Provides day-to-day support for benefits and payroll in coordination with the Corporate Benefits and Payroll team.
  • Serves as the site lead for HR systems (HRIS timekeeping) ensuring timely and accurate processing of: pay progressions job bid awards shift updates and employee status changes.
  • Supports safety and health programs policies practices and procedures in compliance with governmental regulations including Federal State and Local laws and regulations including but not limited to OSHA.
  • Provides support in recruiting efforts including interview coordination candidate experience and pre-employment processes with Wielands Talent Acquisition team.
  • Assists with new hire onboarding to ensure smooth and compliant new hire experience.
  • Maintains employee files and system data with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Escalates complex issues appropriately while ensuring a high level of service and follow-through.
  • Monitors analyzes and reports on key HR performance metrics (KPIs) to identify trends ensure data accuracy and support informed decision-making.
  • Serves as a backup to the HR Generalist as needed.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Human Resources Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
  • Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of HR or administrative experience preferably in a manufacturing and/or union environment
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State laws/regulations general HR practices and policies.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office HRIS and timekeeping systems (UKG Dayforce).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while demonstrating strong problem-solving organizational and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization.
  • High level of integrity and discretion with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency while maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
