The Need

For over 25 years IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade IJMs Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% forvery largepopulations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence we are seeking aProject Coordinator Assuranceto provide coordination and operational support to IJMs Global Assurance function strengthening audit execution project tracking and cross-functional collaboration across regions.

This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) iflocatedin the Washington DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Director FinancialAssuranceand is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track audit and assurance workplans including scheduling fieldwork meetings and reportingmilestones;

  • Support annual and quarterly audit planning through data gathering documentation and calendarcoordination;

  • Maintain audit calendars trackers and status dashboards to ensure visibility andtimelyprogress of assuranceactivities;

  • Support coordination of assurance maturity and expansion initiatives including framework development tools and processimprovements;

  • Maintain centralized documentation templates trackers and version-controlled auditrecords;

  • Support preparation and formatting of reports dashboards and executive materials for leadershipreview;

  • Facilitate communication across global and regional assurance teams including meeting notes and follow-up on actionitems;

  • Assistwith audit tools and systems maintenance testing and coordination with IT or vendors; and

  • Participation in IJMs community of spiritual formation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Project Management Accounting or a relatedfield;

  • 35 years of experience in project coordination audit support or a similar role preferably in a global or nonprofitenvironment;

  • Experience supporting distributed teams across multiple timezones;

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel Word and PowerPoint; and

  • Familiarity with audit compliance or risk management concepts preferred.
