Job Summary

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a Community Culture and Belonging Coordinator for a full-time position commencing at the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

Role Overview

The School Climate Coordinator oversees specific aspects of whole school social and emotional educational programming and interventions for students. This individual coordinates multi-faceted school climate programs and works collaboratively with other key stakeholders in the school to develop proactive strategies to address students social and emotional safety especially as it relates to healthy relationships identity and conflict resolution.

Key Initiatives

  1. Healthy Relationships - planning and implementing school eventsranging from assemblies to small group interventionsthat promote positive relationships between students at L-S
  1. Human Difference and Identity - overseeing school & community-wide programming to support respect for human differences
  1. Restorative Practices - coordinating school mediation and conflict resolution programming and developing restorative practice protocol

Duties & responsibilities (Not limited to)

  • Plans and implements regular Respect for Human Differences Team meetings
  • Plans and implements monthly Racial Climate Community Group meetings
  • Plans and implements annual whole school or grade level events on Promoting Healthy Relationships and Human Difference & Identity
  • Attends and participates in bi-weekly meeting with school safety team which includes: Campus Aides School Resource Officer Associate Principals Director of Counseling & Student Supports METCO Director
  • Attends and participates in bi-weekly meeting with admin liaison for school safety
  • Attends and participates in bi-weekly meeting with Mentors in Violence Prevention Club
  • Participates as a standing member of School Wellness Committee
  • Participates as a standing member of School Safety Council

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred from an accredited college or university.
    • DESE licensure: 9-12 teacher counselor or administrator
  • Experience Preferred:
    • High school experience preferred.
    • 3 years of educational teaching experience preferred.
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Training certification (such as IDEAS) or coursework related to Diversity Equity and Inclusion.
    • Mediation Certification and experience/training in formal mediation practices and/or restorative practices.
    • Exceptional ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with diverse stakeholders from students to senior administration.
