Registered Nurse – PACU (LocalTravel) RNPACU

Position Title: Registered Nurse PACU (Local/Travel)
Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Schedule: Day Shift 3x12 Hours (07:00 AM 07:30 PM or 11:00 AM 11:30 PM) Every Other Weekend

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse to join a high-performing acute care team. The RN will be responsible for providing pre-operative and post-anesthesia care ensuring patient safety monitoring recovery and delivering high-quality clinical support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the PACU setting
• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and assess vital signs
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions
• Administer medications and manage pain control
• Maintain airway management and monitor telemetry
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
• Accurately document patient care in EMR systems
• Float to other units as required based on skillset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher

Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York State RN License (Required at submission)
• BLS Certification (AHA) Required

Experience & Requirements

• Prior PACU and Critical Care experience required
• Experience with IV therapy and telemetry monitoring
• Experience in large hospital settings or trauma centers preferred
• Must be able to work 6 shifts in a 2-week pay period
• Travelers must be flexible to float between units or campuses
