Radiologic TechnologistLab Assistant

Monroe Health Center is seeking a versatile and compassionateRadiologic Technologist / Laboratory Assistant to join our clinical team at the Craig County Health Center in New Castle VA. This dual-role position supports both diagnostic imaging and laboratory services ensuring efficient accurate and patient-focused care. The ideal candidate is adaptable detail-oriented and passionate about serving a diverse patient population in a rural setting.

Radiologic Technologist Duties:

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures (e.g. X-rays) in accordance with provider orders and established protocols
• Ensure patient safety comfort and proper positioning during imaging procedures
• Maintain and operate radiologic equipment ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Accurately document procedures and maintain patient imaging records
• Collaborate with providers to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results

Laboratory Assistant Duties:

• Perform specimen collection including venipuncture and capillary draws
• Process label and prepare specimens for in-house testing or external lab transport
• Conduct basic waived/moderate complexity lab tests as permitted
• Maintain lab equipment supplies and cleanliness according to regulatory standards
• Ensure proper documentation and timely reporting of lab results

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent accredited program)
• Current ARRT certification
• State licensure as required
• Phlebotomy experience
• Basic laboratory experience or training preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic rural healthcare setting
• Commitment to providing culturally competent patient-centered care

Schedule:

• Full-time 40 hours per week - No Weekends
