Monroe Health Center is seeking a versatile and compassionateRadiologic Technologist / Laboratory Assistant to join our clinical team at the Craig County Health Center in New Castle VA. This dual-role position supports both diagnostic imaging and laboratory services ensuring efficient accurate and patient-focused care. The ideal candidate is adaptable detail-oriented and passionate about serving a diverse patient population in a rural setting.
Radiologic Technologist Duties:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures (e.g. X-rays) in accordance with provider orders and established protocols
- Ensure patient safety comfort and proper positioning during imaging procedures
- Maintain and operate radiologic equipment ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Accurately document procedures and maintain patient imaging records
- Collaborate with providers to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results
Laboratory Assistant Duties:
- Perform specimen collection including venipuncture and capillary draws
- Process label and prepare specimens for in-house testing or external lab transport
- Conduct basic waived/moderate complexity lab tests as permitted
- Maintain lab equipment supplies and cleanliness according to regulatory standards
- Ensure proper documentation and timely reporting of lab results
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent accredited program)
- Current ARRT certification
- State licensure as required
- Phlebotomy experience
- Basic laboratory experience or training preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic rural healthcare setting
- Commitment to providing culturally competent patient-centered care
Schedule:
- Full-time 40 hours per week - No Weekends
