Transportation Area Manager

Four key areas that youll always focus on are the safety quality customer experience and productivity of your department. Key responsibilities include:
Collaborate with site leadership on quality and Customer Experience metrics including the root cause analysis of problem areas
Streamline logistics in the operation through the implementation of standard work and team leadership
Support and commit to all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates
Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools

Supervisory Responsibilities:
You and your team of Transportation Associates are responsible for Amazon customers receiving their orders. You are responsible for ensuring that you have properly trained people and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs. Support mentor and motivate your hourly workforce. Manage safety quality productivity and customer delivery addition one of the most important aspects of your job is to lead change at internet speed because innovation has made us the global company that we are today.

- 2 years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent or 2 years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends nights and/or holidays

- 1 years of performance metrics process improvement or lean techniques experience
- 3 years of people management leading teams of 20 experience
- Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen)
- Experience using strong customer service communication and interpersonal skills
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Operations Supply Chain/Logistics or a related field.
- Industry experience in: retail F&B military manufacturing automotive biotech electronics energy instrumentation machinery defense/aerospace medical cosmetics production or distribution environments.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
