Job Summary
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires strong technical expertise patient care skills and adherence to safety and imaging protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure image quality and accuracy for diagnostic interpretation.
- Maintain patient safety including radiation protection standards.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions.
- Document imaging procedures using systems such as Epic Systems.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Day shifts (12-hour shifts)
- 3 shifts per week:
- Saturday: 8:00 AM 12:00 AM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM 12:00 AM
- One additional weekday shift
- Hospital or imaging center setting
- No block scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license
- Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in CT (required)
- Minimum 23 years of CT experience
