As a Security Officer Armed Route Patrol Driver in Columbia SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. Our armed officer for a healthcare location will monitor and patrol assigned areas remain visible to help deter security-related incidents and support staff patients and visitors with professional communication and service. Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff patients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting observations and communicating with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas verify authorized entry when required and report security-related concerns hazards and/or policy violations to site leadership.
• Support daily operations by assisting with de-escalation providing directions and completing detailed incident and activity reports in accordance with Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
