Test Automation Engineer (SDET)

My client is looking for a Test Automation Engineer (SDET) to play a critical role in ensuring the quality reliability and scalability of modern cloudnative applications.

This is not a manual testing role with scripts on the side. Youll design and build robust automation frameworks that sit at the heart of the engineering process. Working inside crossfunctional product teams youll collaborate closely with software engineers to bake quality into microservices and microfrontend architectures from day one.

Youll own automation across APIs UI and backend services integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and help shape how quality engineering evolves in a modern DevOps environment. The work is technically deep highly collaborative and built on contemporary tools and practices ideal for engineers who enjoy problemsolving at system level.

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 4 years experience in formal testing roles within structured engineering environments
Strong programming ability in Java (Spring Boot preferred)
Proven experience testing microservices and microfrontends in cloudnative architectures
Handson automation experience for Angular applications
Experience building automated tests for REST APIs UI components and backend services
Practical experience with Playwright K6 or JMeter
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines ideally within Azure DevOps
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Solid grasp of SDLC STLC and DevOps principles
Experience with contract testing and mocking strategies (e.g. Pact)
Interest in leveraging AIassisted testing to improve coverage and speed

Qualification:
Formal testing experience required
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications are beneficial but not mandatory
