Category Manager
Job Summary
Make an impact by
- Develop and implement category strategies to optimise costs and manage supply risks.
- Conduct supply market analysis spend analysis and supplier base assessments to support category planning.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing strategies including identifying joint sourcing opportunities across business units where appropriate.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities for the assigned category including defining scope supporting technical evaluations conducting total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis leading commercial negotiations and collaborating with Legal on contract finalisation.
- Manage contract development and administration in partnership with Legal and relevant stakeholders.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Monitor manage and drive supplier performance to ensure quality cost and delivery expectations are met.
- Lead regular business reviews and performance discussions with key suppliers.
Skills for success
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant experience in procurement and category management.
- Experience in data centres construction or mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial negotiations and contracting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
