Job Summary
- The Head of Hosting will lead the strategy management and continuous improvement of our hosting services (On-Prem 3rd Party Data Centres Azure AWS Google). This individual will be responsible for ensuring a robust secure and high-performing hosting environment that supports the organizations growth and service levels. They will manage a team of hosting engineers and 3rd party providers collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with business objectives and security policies.
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and implement thehostingstrategy in line with the companys technical and business goals.
- Drive innovation and implement the best practices for server management cloudhosting 3rd party data centres and on-premises data centres.
- Lead mentor and manage thehostingteam ensuring high levels of performance and development.
- HostingInfrastructure Management:
- Oversee the design deployment and maintenance ofhostingenvironments (on-premises 3rd party cloud or hybrid).
- Ensure scalability redundancy and performance ofhostingsolutions to meet company and client needs.
- Manage disaster recovery planning data backups and ensure high availability ofhostingservices.
- Security & Compliance:
- Ensure allhostingservices comply with industry standards GPC security policies and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR SOC2).
- Regularly assess security vulnerabilities reports and implement necessary measures to protect data and systems.
- Implement GPC security policies related tohosting.
- Vendor & Contract Management:
- Oversee relationships with third-partyhostingproviders vendors and partners.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) withhostingvendors.
- Manage costs and ensure thehostingbudget is optimized for performance and value.
- Monitoring & Performance Optimization:
- Establish monitoring to ensure system health performance and uptime.
- Use analytics and performance data to identify areas for improvement inhostingservices.
- Ensure swift resolution of issues related tohosting escalating where necessary.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with development operations and GPC security teams to ensure seamless integration of services.
- Act as a point of escalation for criticalhostingissues and communicate with key stakeholders.
- Prepare regular reports onhostingperformance system uptime and any incidents.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up to date with the latest trends inhostingtechnologies and suggest improvements to current systems.
- Drive automation initiatives and reduce manual intervention inhostingmanagement processes.
- Patching KPIs (Device Compliance Target > 9x% and Patch Compliance - Target > 9x%)
